If you are starting with the best affiliate programs, you are probably surprised by the things you should do.
Don’t worry, and I was surprised when I started.
When I created Investor Junkie, I was also already the recognized owner of the company. I was involved in affiliate marketing for my previous company, but I never went into it.
We got to learn a lot!
Anyone can create a blog, but very few people know how to make this blog profitable through affiliate marketing. Even some “superpartners” do not use methods for better content optimization.
Start from scratch
Let’s start with the basics way.
The first step for the beginners to successful affiliate marketing is to participate in programs designed specifically for your niche.
Many times, I meet a mummy blogger who talks about topics like children’s upbringing, coupons, and recipes, but then publishes posts on how to stir and how to create a blog on Bluesto.
Is not it?
I no longer choose mummy bloggers. I have seen this phenomenon in many other industries (niches).
I understand: Bluehost has one of the most profitable affiliate programs. But this does not mean that it belongs to your site.
One of the main concepts of effective affiliate marketing is the promotion of products that you use or that have no problem with recommendations for recipients. Your goal should be to create a brand that is firmly rooted in your niche and gain credibility on related issues.
Therefore, if you are a blogger, do not discuss and announce topics outside of your column. This is unfair and repels the recipient. Your readers will leave a review immediately.
This is why it is not a list of the “5 highest-paid partners in 2020”. This is the wrong role model.
What are the best affiliate programs for beginners?
My recommendations are based on the content network:
ease of use
Easy to connect
Number of customers
Variety of business units.
Now my list is not exhaustive. I am sure some networks are best suited for your particular location. Also, some vendors may require a direct relationship with them rather than using the network connection.
However, regardless of your blog niche, I think these are the best affiliate programs list for all beginners. You can’t do anything wrong with either of them, and I recommend joining seven.
- Sovrn //Commerce (formerly VigLink)
- Amazon Associates
- Commission Junction
ShareASale is part of Awin and the best affiliate program trading options available. ShareASale currently works more than 1,000 vendors offering everything from physical products to software services. This makes your website ideal for focusing on internet marketing.
The application process is relatively simple and access to existing affiliate conversion data. My only complaint is the limited number of links available from most vendors.
A great feature of ShareASale is that it gives you an idea of the effectiveness of the vendors with whom you work. ShareASale provides detailed information such as average sales, conversion rate, EPC (revenue per click), and your position on your website.
FlexOffers ranks next on this list.
In many cases, FlexOffers provides affiliate programs similar to other networks such as CJ. FlexOffers has more than 12,000 suppliers in its system. Perhaps they are one of the largest affiliate networks available.
FlexOffers are known as “associate partners.” This means that FlexOffers adds the seller’s program as an affiliate and allows bloggers to use their affiliate link rather than target the seller directly. In return, you will split the commission for each registered participant.
Thus, if you have difficulty entering a particular affiliate program, as it is just the beginning, FlexOffers can act as an intermediary.
Of course, the downside is that payments are often lower because FlexOffers have to cut back on every transaction.
The registration process for joining FlexOffers can be cumbersome. Since FlexOffers is an affiliate, it is somewhat responsible for the quality of conversions, meaning that it can make a fuss about the affiliate network that allows it on its network.
However, if you are a budding partner, FlexOffers is a great option to apply. Just make sure your site is ready and presentable.
Next on the list may be one you’ve never heard of. Awin is a little new player in the market. It is a merger of two existing affiliate networks, Xanax and EiffelNet, in August 2017.
The Awin network has more than 8,000 customers. They have one of the best networks and are very easy to use. They offer the best affiliate programs in many countries, so I recommend you if you have foreign guests, although its customers focus more on physical products than software or SaaS.
I am not a huge fan of automated way of posting commercial blog links, but some partners want to make money without much effort. Sovran // Commerce is the way to do it. It was formerly known as VigLink.
Either using the WordPress plugin or using Google Sovran // Commerce Tag Manager will automatically insert affiliate links into the blog post. For those looking for an easy way to earn money with affiliate links, VigLink is the way to do it. You can choose a CPC or CPA buyer.
A more appropriate option is to use Svrn // Commerce for custom content as a forum. They also have vBulletin and phpBB options.
Like Sovran, Skimlinks will automatically create affiliate links in your content. For content (such as a platform) created without your participation, this can be a good option.
You can also manually insert links. They currently have over 24,000 vendors they work with, so I recommend you subscribe. They have a wide range of market marks.
Amazon is an affiliate network for many beginners.
Amazon Associates is not perfect at the moment, but I will try another article. However, this program is ideal for those who are just getting started.
Amazon is one of the world’s most extensive e-commerce services. If you want to associate with a product for sale, Amazon should be your choice.
For example, Quicken once had an affiliate program with Commission Junction, which is the second network in this list. I posted some quick affiliate links on my Investor Addict blog, and it worked great.
However, the program stopped unexpectedly. I quickly changed the affiliate link to use Amazon instead. You can still make money on sites that link to Quick.
If you already have an Amazon account, who doesn’t? You are halfway there. Ideally, if you have a registered company, you will have to register using your company information.
Amazon’s biggest problem is that its affiliate programs are country-specific. If traffic comes from any part of the world, you need to make sure that Amazon links are configured for that country.
Here are 14 countries where Amazon offers its affiliate program and related affiliate links:
- United Kingdom
- United Arab Emirates
- United States
If you want to better manage Amazon affiliate links, I recommend the WordPress AAWP plugin. This add-on cannot merely create links based on the country of visitors. AAWPs can display current Amazon prices and create product summary fields that increase conversions.
Commission Junction, perhaps just after Amazon, is probably the second oldest affiliate program. Most people in the industry know the company as “CJ.” Unlike Amazon, it is more networked than an e-commerce store.
This means that CJ will connect you with (partner) customers and manage most of the relationships for you.
If you are a new business partner, this may be lucky, as you do not need to work directly with the buyer. CJ and other networks listed below can do all this for you.
At the time of writing this type of article, over 1,500 merchants have used CJ’s services. These buyers can be found in many niches, so we recommend joining this network.
The registration process at CJ is not particularly complicated. But once you do this, you should contact specific vendors. The complexity of the application process depends on the vendor. Some of them will provide immediate approval, and others will take several days, and others will leave you without the right to permanent suspension.
The Impact is one of the youngest affiliate networks on this list. The Impact was founded in 2008 by former employees of Commission Junction, Savings.com and Leadpoint.
At the time of writing, Impact had over 1,000 online sellers. Again, there is a wide range of merchants that should suit most industries.
The application process form to join Impact can be a bit more complicated than CJ, but it was easy for me to be accepted by customers.
I think Impact’s reporting and tracking options are a lot more flexible than other affiliate programs. If the vendor uses multiple affiliate networks (which are shared), I always use the first effect.
